Data Deletion
What happens when you remove alovibe from your Meta account
When you remove alovibe from your Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp Business account — from Settings → Business integrations in Meta, or through Meta's data deletion request — Meta tells us, and we act on it automatically.
What we delete
- The access tokens we stored for you. They are removed and cannot be used again.
- The link between your Meta account and the alovibe workspace it was connected to.
The channel then shows as disconnected in alovibe, and the business owner is notified. No further messages are sent or received through it.
What we do not delete, and why
The conversations, bookings and customer records in that alovibe workspace belong to the business, not to the Meta account that connected the channel. A business owner might revoke a Meta login while continuing to use alovibe — deleting their bookings because of it would destroy records they still need, and in most places are legally required to keep.
If you are the business owner and you want that data deleted too, that is a separate request: open alovibe → Settings → Account → Delete account, or write to us and we will do it.
When it happens
The removal happens at the moment Meta tells us — automatically, with no review queue and nothing to wait for. Removing alovibe from your Meta account invalidates the access tokens at Meta's side at once, and our stored copy of them is deleted in the same step.
Meta shows you a confirmation code when you make a deletion request. That code is Meta's reference for the request, not a key we hold: we keep no record of the Meta login once its connection has been removed, so a code cannot be looked up against anything on our side. If you opened this page from the link Meta gave you, the request has already been carried out; what it removed, and what it deliberately did not, is set out above.
